Affordable Outdoor Adventures for Women

If an extravagant trip just isn’t in the cards right now, there are still plenty of outdoor adventures for women waiting for you closer to home.

Have you dreamed of snorkeling in Belize or riding a camel through the desert in Egypt?  Our world offers so many amazing outdoor adventures for women, you can really get lost in the possibilities.  When it comes to exotic vacations filled with excitement many of us are limited by our budgets.  International travel and remote locations are not always feasible, but we still want to explore and get outside our comfort zone.

The good news is that there are many great options for affordable outdoor adventures for women, especially right in our own country.  If your dream of hiking in the Himalayas is just not going to happen right now, consider these great trips that won’t break the bank, but still satisfy the wanderlust.

Sea Kayaking in British Columbia – For a little over $1,000 Pacific Northwest Expeditions will take you on a four day kayaking trip where you’ll mingle with killer whales. 

Vermont Biking Tour – Enjoy the breathtaking fall colors, local maple syrup tastings and historic country inns by bicycle.  Backcountry offers a six day tour for under $1,400.

Backpack the Appalachian Trail – For just $700 per person REI will take you on a four day scenic tour through the Great Smoky Mountains.

Tour the Grand Circle of National Parks – Women Traveling Together offers a ten day tour through the six National Parks in the Southwest.  Activities, meals and many other amenities are included for the price of $2,957 (shared room).
