A river trip, followed by camping, followed by hot springs soaking or hiking!
Payette River Company is a beloved river outfitter in Lowman. Last year they provided us with an amazing day on The Canyon section of the Payette. This year, we're taking it up a notch!
We'll meet locally in Boise and drive up to Lowman to get outfitted in all of our finest river wear! (NO COTTON ALLOWED!) We'll pack into the van or bus and head to the put in. We'll listen closely to our guides as they explain river safety and then we'll be on our way to tackle Class III-IV rapids! This exhilarating rafting trip runs for up to 6 hours. We'll enjoy a lovely lunch on the river and we'll even stop at some hot springs along the way as well.
The Canyon section of the Payette River is suitable for first time rafters seeking a greater challenge and for experienced paddlers alike. The Canyon section is more demanding by classification.
After our rafting excursion ends, we'll head back to our cars and head to camp. The camp is about 350 feet below our cars so be prepared for a bit of a walk. The camps will already be setup for us and we don't have to worry about the gear! PRC provides everything we need for a comfy camp right on the river. They're even going to provide a yummy dinner and breakfast for us! We'll provide the wine!
The following day, we'll wake up for breakfast and get going on a hike or hot springs or maybe we'll get crazy and do both!
