Bold Betties is partnering with Apollo Guides to summit the Keyhole Route of Long's Peak!

One of Colorado's most iconic hikes, this 14.5 mile round trip hike means we will camp in the park and start our ascent at 1am to bid for the summit. This is a class 3 route with up to 40 degree inclines so we will have a guide leading us through The Trough and The Narrows with an option to be roped up through the steeper sections.

The cost is $250 per person and includes entrance int the park, camping fees and guides

Thursday (8/31) evening - carpool and head up the park to set up camp. Please eat dinner on the way or before you head up, we won't be planning on cooking at camp Thursday evening. We'll do a gear check and pack up our packs and head to bed early.

Friday (9/1), wake up at midnight to get ready for the summit. We'll carpool to the trailhead and meet the guides for a 1am start. The hike is 14.5 miles each way with 5100 feet in elevation gain. We need to pace to make sure we summit before 11am. The guides will be assisting us with evaluating mountain conditions (weather, terrain), setting up fixed ropes, pace setting and ensuring safety across the more tricky sections of the route. We will plan on being back at camp at around 3-4pm. We'll rest, make dinner and enjoy our exhaustion at camp.

Saturday (9/2) wake up, make breakfast and break camp. Checkout is noon.

We will coordinate vehicles, entrance permits and tents before the event. Please plan on bringing your own food and water.
