Here at Bold Betties, we love learning new skills! Especially when we get to learn them in the most beautiful places on earth! This summer we’re taking 5 of our members into Rocky Mountain National Park and teaching you how to Fly Fish!
Join us June 21-23, 2019 up in the Rocky Mountains for a beginner friendly Fly Fishing lesson!
Our guides from Gear Colorado Fly Fishing will teach you everything you need to know to hook a fish! We keep the guide to student ratio pretty small, 1:3, for a hands on experience that is guaranteed to up your confidence and get you out there! Most beginner classes take place in a classroom or in someone’s backyard. That’s not how we do things here. You’ll get real, on the water experience right from the get go!

- Two nights in a cabin
- Breakfast and Lunch Saturday

Coming from outside of Colorado?
That's awesome! We love hosting members from across the country! Here are some general things to note:
- Flights into Denver should land no later than 12pm Friday June 21.
- We will work with you to help pick you up and get you to the appropriate carpool destination
- Departing flights will depend on the options you should select. If you are choosing the half day fly fishing option, your flights should depart no earlier than, 6pm Sunday, June 23.
- Please do not purchase your airfare until the trip is 100% confirmed.
What to bring:
- Rain Jacket and clothing fit for variable mountain weather. Layered synthetics work best.
- Sun Screen and sun hat – any ball cap that will keep the sun out of your eyes.
- Thick pair of socks – such as Merino wool.
- Comfortable/breathable pants to wear between skin and waders – preferably not jeans.
- Wading Staff – if needed.
- Glasses – A MUST FOR EYE PROTECTION. We strongly recommend polarized lenses to reduce glare.
- Change of dry clothes – just in case.
- Any required medications/personal items you will need.
- Fishing License
- Small zip lock bags – optional – for anything you don’t want to get wet. This is a water sport and waders are no guarantee you won’t get wet…(mainly, we’re talking keys & cell phones)
- During the hotter days of summer we may wet-wade, so a pair of quick drying shorts and old tennis shoes/hiking boots will suffice for most situations.
- Cash for your driver
